Hatchet
Gary Paulsen
The book I am reading is called Hatchet. This book is about a boy named Brian whose parents get divorced and he goes to visit his dad. When he is on the plane, the pilot has a heart attack. The planes crashes and Brian gets stuck in a forest. He has no clue where this forest is though.
This book is wonderful. It has great action and is jam-packed with details and adventure. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes books that you don't want to put down.
Dear manly journal,
mom bought me this stupid journal for me on my birthday and she said that if I didn't write she would ground me. I am on the plane with this crazy guy. He is the pilot so I have to be nice to him. I am going to visit my dad. My parents got a divorce and my dad is still confused about the whole process. I wish that they would get a long. It is driving me crazy. I can't wait to see mom again. I already miss her.
Bye,
Brian
I can make a lot of connections with my story. When I read I make connections or picture something that I have seen. For example, when I went to Yosemite, I saw a l shaped lake and then they brought a l shaped lake in the story, I pictured that.
