This book is about a 14 year old boy named Alex Rider. Alex is a spy. His father was the best spy there is. When his parents died on a mission, he became a what you would call a orphan, but not totally. Since his father was a spy, they had a back up for Alex. He started going to training and in this story he goes on a mission in Italy. He almost got himself killed and then he has to choose between the good side or his father's footsteps.

I really enjoyed reading this book because it was filled of adventure and I could never put it down. From Alex getting locked in a basement, to almost getting drowned. He relisez that his dad was a spy and he didn't die in a car crash.

I would recommend this book to anyone that like adventure packed books, a book you would never want to put down, and that makes you feel like you are there. i would recommend this book to boys between the age of 13-15 because they would understand it.
